Trout fishing off the docks and through out the entire lake is absolutely amazing right now. We caught more fish than I could count, 8 - 17 inches. Fished power bait off the bottom with 3 feet of leader, caught a fish every few minutes in the morning. Pushed down the barbs on the hooks after we released the first few and saw it was going to be a "busy" day. While trolling I couldn't strip out line without getting hit and having too reel in and rebait. Green wedding ring type spinner and a worm was all I needed. Smaller fish were up top, bigger ones running 20 - 30 feet down. It was too much fun. I even kept 2 and ate 'em.
The entire lake was a hot spot for us.

Hate to tell you muskie guy but when you use bait, being barbless or not, you are done after you catch 5 fish. That is, if you believe in following the WDFW rules. Not a good thing to brag about on a public forum.

Everyone should read the regs before they wet their hooks.

Thanks for the comment no1, and yes I do read those regs. I should have been more specific about the catching versus landing part though. I like to fish barbless because I land few fish and get to keep fishing longer. On this trip we lost many fish before landing them. Lost fish during the fight doesn't count in the daily limit per WDFW of Spokane, and thats why I like to fish barbless, more time on the water. Cheers.

Got ya. Now I know what you were doing.

The last night we were there we got to watch a guy teach his kid the fine art of boating fish after fish using PowerBait only keeping the large ones. He even had the nerve to brag about it at camp how he only kept the 2 and 4 pound and threw back all the "little ones.'

Tight lines!
