Went out today with my buddy for the second day in a row. Did not catch much yesterrday, just a few little guys. (pan size :)). I was waiting patiently throughout the day but got not many bites. After losing a fish from a snag on a log, by buddy lost interest and started messing around. He put a piece of his toblerone bar on the end of a bobber and cast it out. To my surprise, (and horror) his bobber sunk after about 5-10 minutes and he had a fish on! It was not the biggest fish, but come on now, a toberlone bar? It was our first fish of the day. I caught the second on pink power eggs (also the biggest at about 12") but my buddy caught close to his limit by recasting the toberlone bar serveral times. Seriously, i don't know if this was a fluke or what but i am seriously gonna research chocolate and fish. I have never heard of this before. Has anyone else? Once again i don't know if this was just a one time fluke or if chocolate, or toblerone, has a something wierd about it that attracts fish. Either way, i think its worth another trip back to find out if results are re-create-able.
The lake was incredibily beautifull and people around us were catching fish too. A man named Gribble caught his limit within 2 hours. I would recomment this lake to anyone, toblerone, powerbait, or whatever you have-- fishing is GOOOOOOD!
