Headed out about an hour-hour and a half later than intended. Went to pond 5, started trolling a green body, chartreuse tail and hackle jig, homemade. Worked my way back to the cove where the yakima feeds the lake and got a hit from a nice little crappie (about 6 inches). Oh yeah, it my first crappie that I have ever landed! Also the first fish I ever got from these ponds that wasnt a bluegill. I also got a hit from a little bluegill, threw it back. There was one other group of people on the lake in an aluminum boat, they got a little perch, they let me have it since they don't eat fish I guess. Only got a hit from two fish today, but I would give this a rating of five since I got my first crappie.
