Was going to head to beaver, but the shore line was packed, so a few buddies and i decided to go to rattlesnake river. first time there, such a beautiful lake, clear water, great weather. had to walk to the other side of the lake to finally find a good enough place for shore fishing since none of us had a boat. went for trout in the beginning, no bites (using kastmasters, panthers...etc) ended up going for bass (crank baits, plastics...etc) no bites on anything. saw quite a few boats out on the water, only saw on angler pull in a somewhat small trout. talked to another angler on a boat who said he had caught a few small ones. stayed only for a few hours. great day!!! no bites. a few of my buddies also decided to wade into the water and was able to catch a few crawfish just for fun. If i had a boat, it would definitly be a great trip.
