5/20/2009 8:47:00 AMBrett - a lot of time those big bass will be exactly where you caught the little ones. The little ones are faster and more aggressive, so they get to the bait fastest. If you catch a little one, throw back to the exact same spot. The little ones might hit it again, and if they do, keep hitting that spot. Eventually a big bruiser might get it in gear and come grab what you're offering. Another way to entire a bigger bite is to throw a bigger bait - keep a rod ready with a 9" plastic worm and toss it right into the area where little ones are tearing you up. Those big ones might just be sitting low and hanging out, and they'll often pick a 9" worm over a 3" bait fish presentation. Keep at it and you'll be boating your share of toads before you know it :)
