Spent a couple hours in the wind at Liberty this morning. Caught one nice 3 lb bow off the public boat launch - much fun on light spinning gear. I was using worms and marshmallows but I couldn't keep the marshmallows on (got any tips?) so I switched to YUM.

If I resort to Marshmallows, and I seldom fish with bait, I take my mallows and crack open the bag and let them sit open for at least a couple of weeks to dry out and get a hard coat of the surface. I have a bag at least a year old, and they fish just fine - slowly emit off the sugar and float.

Power eggs are my choice if I want to float a worm off the bottom, as they float well, and you can usually catch a few fish before you loose your bait because they're so tough.

Like anglinarcher said, open the bag and let them harden. The trick is to put the mallow on before the worm so those theives don't snatch the dessert before the main course.

YUP ! Use 2 marsh mellows n put then on first, slide em up onto the line past the eyelet or ur hook, then put on as much worm as you want, then slide the marsh mellows back down over the eyelet and the worm will squish down the hook just enough. They stay put real good. Sometimes I use an insulin needle and fill the worm up with a little air and then even if ur mellows don't make the trip, ur worm still floats. Pretty fool proof !
