Got to the lake at 9am. 2 boats came in one had 2 limits and the other had about 8 for 3 people, they were bottom fishing, Seems a lot of people were bottom fishing when I got there. I'm a troller. Funny thing was when I started trolling, most people either started heading in or started trolling. I guess most people who fish in the early morning probably quit by 9am. That was there mistake because there was a solar peak that started at 9am and all the people that started trolling a 9am were catching a lot of fish.
I put on my new wedding ring on that I tyed the night before. Non-stop action for the 1st hour, then it slowed down and the wind picked up. Had my bait stolen over 20 times, in the 1st hour.
Just caught the stocker, no hold overs this trip. A lot of fish holding deeper in 20-30 ft. I guess the weather drove them down. Last week most were in the top 10ft. Still a productive day, caught a bunch. Heading to my secret lake tomorrow to catch some large cutthoat trout before the crowds of people show up for the 3 day weekend. Fish-on.
