What a great day on Long Lake, first ones at the Spokane house launch at 6am and fished until 11 am. We ending up boating 10 fish (7 SMB, 2LMB, 1 Squaw). Both my brother in law and myself DEMOLISHED our personal best fish. We book ended the day with HUGE LMB. First fish at 710am is the LMB pictured at 5lbs 8ozs (old personal best 4-1oz). I have another pic with the spinner bait about swallowed she totally hammered it. Large female weighed, measured, and immediately released to spawn. Second pic is BC with a 4lb 14oz LMB at 1015am, hit on another spinnerbait in nearly the same spot as the first big fish. Larger fish was 21 inches and smaller was about 22 inches so I think it may have spawned out already. Most of the fish came on Spinner baits (key seemed to be Chartruse with large silver willow leaf and #2 GOLD Colorado blade). We tried a lot of baits but that pattern produced the most for us. Did catch a couple on cranks, and one on a jig with grub. The five largest fish weighed a combined 18lbs 2 ozs.
