Went to Lake Serene yesterday for the first time with a few friends. Curtis and I got there around 6:30pm. It looked like it was going to clear up but I sure was wrong. It was rainy and a little windy at times but not to bad. I have been in worse. I decide if we were going to catch fish in this cold front we would have to find some on beds or really have to work for them. I looked for beds for a little bit and nothing for a while. Then I found one that I just ran right over. Crap. I guess we will come back to that one. Found another one up a ways and only took about 10 mins to piss her off enough to get her in the boat. 2 lbs 4 oz. Not huge but not little. Went back to the other bed and that was a little more challenging. She wouldn't stay on the bed if we were there. Finally I backed off so far I couldn't see the bed but knew where it was. After 15mins or so she finally gave in and I got her. 2 lbs 12 oz. Rain finally got really hard, I found another bed and fished it for about!
10 mins but started getting dark. Nice lake over all. I will probably be back. I know there has got to be some big pigs in there some where. Well good luck to you all have a great week.
