Fished Beaver from 1 to 3:30 this afternoon. Not many people fishing. Fished the shoreline pads and docks using a weedless T-rigged curly tail worm (whitish-blue) on a finesse hook (no weight). I'd cast into the lillypads and run it along the surface to the edge and then let it drop. Had a number of strikes, but nothing big enough to swallow the worm down to the hook that was near the nose. I'd let some take it down for a few counts hoping that they'd gobble a little more to hook up, but never did hook one up. Even a decent sized dink that slammed it didn't hook up. That is ok as I was having fun and not getting stuck in the weeds. Also tried throwing a 4" pumpkinseed senko rigged the same way. Had a nice strike on that in a little deeper water that I missed and then another a little farther up the shore which I hooked. It was a stocker RBT. The only fish landed for the day. Good time on the water. Everyone I talked to hadn't been catching much. Noticed the barometric pressure was dropping while I was out there and was pretty low to begin with. Didn't get water temp, but was definitely in the mid to high 60s. The algea blooms are still going strong.
