Went to Spanaway to burn an hour before tee time at golf course. Used UL rod and tossed yellow/orange roostertails and gold/silver castmasters. Multiple bites and caught 3 stockers which were set free to fight another day for someone else. A fish kept slamming the roostertails right next to some lily pads but wouldn't latch on. He was vexing me so I switched to a silver catsmaster in 1/4 oz. that I had switched to a single hook and BAM! I nailed him on next cast. Little punk turned out to be a largemouth bass a little over a pound, nice surprise! :) Lipped him and gave him a kiss like those kooks on TV before releasing. First bass I've ever caught in this state, too spoiled catching 25-30 lb. albacore and yellowfin tuna back home. Guess I can get used to freshwater on light gear if it's consistent...Tight lines, wind in your face, check those knots, and follow your fish!!!
