Got to the lake at 4:30pm started out on the east side throwing a spinner bait was unsuccessful and got bored after 30 mins or so. I walked to the area where i caught the LMB yesterday and started throwing a yellow senko drop shot didnt get any hits then threw on a pumpkin seed 3" minnow, got a few hits but nothing landed. Then i threw on a pumkin seed worm and took a glance where I caught the bass yesterday underneath an overhanging tree. There was a monster wandering around. i threw my worm underneath the tree, Boom! got action, I try to keep it away from the branches but then my line snaps.I waited to see if it came back but never did. I walked around the back side where all the lillys were and started drop shotting around the edge with the worm. First cast I landed a nice 3lber an hr after getting there. I tried a few more times and ended up snagging my weight on a lily. I decided to head back to the car but stop and throw one last cast underneath the tree. Frist cast it hammers it and starts taking it to deeper water, I battle it to shore and throw it on the scale, 6lbs! and it had my line from before dangling out of its mouth. Left the lake at 7pm all in a good day.
