Finally made it out to Spanaway Lake this evening. Only a 5 minute drive so a little better on the gas tank ... lol. The park was full and alot of people fishing off the shore. Saw a couple boats fishing for trout but no one hunting bass. I went under the bridge leading to the island then followed the shore of the island until made it to the mouth of the lake where I crossed to fish the docks on the north side. Fished the cove there then jettted back to the island to finish my trip back to the bridge. I had alot of bites from what I would probably say were rock bass or perch. If I would have brought some of my 4 inch senkos I would have probably gotten rid of the skunk I have been carrying for the last 3 fishing trips. I did have one hit when I returned back to the dock but I was so used to the pesky fish I was no where near ready. BassDood and I spoke about that when we fished Long Lake the last time. It is hard to keep the concentration up the entire time. No fish caught but I will try it again as I know there just has to be some bass prowling around there.

You got something with the concentration thing. I remember in the day fishing for Steelhead up in my hometown of Forks, one day on the Queets, not a bite until like 3:00 or 3:30 p.m. One was just nailing my red corky and I was just standing there holding my rod. My Dad says "Get him". Doh! 15 minutes later 20 pound 5 ounce female. Exactly two casts later my Dad says with a laugh "get him", lol, a couple minutes later 16 1/2 pound female. It happens, most definitely.
