Right on Mav! A 12" koke is pretty good size for this time of year. If Lk Washington continues to be slow for trout I'll be hitting American and Stevens for Kokes in the next few weeks.

Hey GM..I was a little surprised too...especially in the middle of the day! I was willing to do anything to get the first fish in the boat. I would like to learn more about WAWA trouting.
Thanks FR...I was getting consistent hits at that depth (when I was looking). Since this was the first time out there, I was spending a lot of time watching electronics...and not so much the pole...I'm sure I missed a few...I'm just glad to have broken the dry streak!

I have been on American two times and have found it to be a great lake. I fish from a kayak so I do many things different. I caught three crappie with a raffel count down. The week before I caught a dozen, all too little to keep, but it was fun. I am just now understanding the lake but as everyone commented the pressure on the lake was light. Both time I saw a Eagle, that is just the best.
