Fished off the boat launch for a couple of hours at Shady. I caught one 12 incher in 2.5 hours of fishing. I had one good hit that caused my rod to turn into a 3/4 u shape. The line was tight and the fish probably let go of the bait after it felt tension. The bites were real quick and weak. Felt like the fish were swimming with the bait in its mouth and dropping the bait.

I saw two boats come in while I was at the launch. One boat had two guys with no fish. The other boat had one guy with two fish. They both said the fishing was real slow. There were two boat launch fisherman fishing with me that left without any fish. One lucky guy caught three fish.

This lake was stocked in early May with only 1000 fish. The heavy pressure on opening day and the fishing derby last weekend probably took most of the fish.
