Tried this lake on Sunday, had been there years ago, this was the first time with a boat. Lots of action with the worms (& bobber), all really small perch and blue gill. Saw a few small bass, but could not coax them onto my hook. Was hoping to see a crappie or two... Fished 'til I ran out of worms then tried a few of my favorite lures/jigs. Even tried to troll with a few that are not typically trolled with. Lots of small hits, but no takers. Lost a few lures due to the amount of submerged trees, branches & stumps.
Looks to be a real nice lake, I won't give up hope on it this quick. I'll keep trying, maybe mix up the time of day, tackle, etc. until I figure it out. I'm sure I'll be posting again.
Side note: I was able to actually 'launch' my small boat from a trailer, although the launch facilities were pretty poor. There is a "boat launch area", not really a "ramp". Great for canoes, rafts, etc.
