Launched boat at 7am. It was a cloudy and wet and chilly morning. Cold front just came through after about two weeks of 70s and 80s. Hit some of the usual spots for bass, didn't see any in the shallows, tried anyway though. Hooked a couple of largemouth swimming around the older docks, got off before I could get them to the boat; that was it. Decided to change to trout around 11am. Saw a couple of schools of trout on the electronics right at the bottom. Trolled with wedding rings and worms, got 6 decent trout in about 2 hours; one really nice one. I spoke to someone on shore who stated he never fishes bass on Spencer in the summer or winter, just Spring and Fall. Stated bite goes way down for bass during the heat of the summer, not sure if I believe him or not. :-)
