Launched boat at 6:30am. Warm, sunny, and calm early morning. Water temp was 69-72. First time on the lake. Tried South end near all the lily pads first; nothing, not even a nibble. Tried a snagless frog, black/blue jig/crawler combo, and a watermelon senko. Cruised up to the Northwest end near the docks, started from a point and flipped into the docks and weeds and lily pads. Found a school of what appeared to be baby bluegill or perch, I am guessing the bluegill have spawned as the water and weather has been quite warm lately. Started throwing a crankbait (tried to match the little fish), also a watermelon senko. Landed three largemouth bass off the crankbait, nothing real huge (C&R). Switched to a spinnerbait as the wind picked up, continued on around the North end, landed a trout. Went back down near the lily pads. Through a deeper diving crankbait at the edge of the weed line, about 8-12 feet of water, boated two more largemouth. Tried the lily pads real slow the last hour, throwing snagless frogs and senkos and jigs again. Absolutely nothing; either the bass are real smart, or very few. All in all an ok day, not many fish for being on the water for 7 hours though.
