Bass fished Cassidy this morning. Up at 4am and the first one on the lake. Between 5am and 9am, I caught and released, 6 largemouth bass weighing 1 to 3.5 pounds, and a couple dinks. I also had another large bass on that snapped my 6 pound test. Not a bad day for my first try here this year, I look forward to comming back soon.

Big bass have a habit of snapping light line -- That's why I switched to 15 pound Power Pro line.

Aaron, thanks for your help with the photos. Thanks to everyone for the nice compliments. Bob, your'e right, I should be using 15 pound test, especially in the dark stained waters of Cassidy...I'm loading a reel now. Buzzbait, I've been slow working 5"-7" black curly tail worms with a #1 exposed hook. I loose some tackle, but also pick up some nice crappie and perch (I got a few of these Sunday, just didn't mention in the report). The fish are hitting real light, but fight great when hooked! Take care to all, and good fishin!
