Good morning folks,

Went to this lake at 5 am this morning and by 6 am had caught and released six 9-10 inch rainbows. After that, continued to get hits and fish until around 9 am when it slowed down. Although most of them were on the small side, I did pull in a 14 incher, which for me at Robbins is a little unusual, never caught one that size there before and hopefully he will grow even bigger as the summer wears on.

As far as the best hotspot, pretty much anywhere from the eastend of of the lake by the docks to the middle was working very well. You will need a boat or a float tube (my favorite choice) as there is not much to offer for bank fishers. I trolled fairly slowly from the east to the center and had hits about every three minutes. I did have one small 8 incher swallow my fly and was able to get the fly out with no damage, or so I thought. After he swam off and about 5 minutes, he came to the surface belly up and I was on my way to get him when a Osprey decided he wanted a easy breakfast and scooped him up. Just a reminder, if you do happen to kill one, please take it home and eat it, don't leave it laying on the bank. Enough said.

I will mark the hotspots and hope you all have the same luck as I did. Stay safe and have fun out there. Going to take a break for the weekend, but will be out on the lakes in Mason, Kitsap, Jefferson counties next week and will let you know what I find. If anyone would like a particular lake checked out and I can, just let me know and I will give it a go.
