GREAT DAY!!! Got to the lake at 6:30 am. Headed over to the Island to see if I could hook into a largemouth. 8th cast in using 7" green pumpkin power worm and WHAM!! after dragging him out from under a log I landed him. This would be my first Hawg of a bass. Only started seriously bass fishing about 2 weeks ago after meeting up with trent. Thanks again trent. Once again I forgot my scale at home so I estimate him to be about 5 lb. Haven't caught one this big before so I could be way off. Feel free to correct me. Flipped my worm around the Island for a while longer with no luck. Decided to head out and try to get the 6 yr old some trout. Trolled for a while with no luck. So I decided to throw on some Bright Green power bait. Boy caught 5 from 9-12 inches. He was stoked. Over all great day. Only on the lake 2 hours. Good luck and Tight lines.
