Im entering this report a month late due to computer illiteracy.(lol) Hit long about 5:00 a.m. Lake was beautiful, sun just rising, very calm. We headed directly acrossed the lake from the Launch and started to the south end of the lake, where all the lilly pads are. My buddy immediately hit a two pound large mouth on the edge of the lillies as we entered through. We got the monkey off and moved on. Through the lillies I finally landed a 1 3/4 lb largie and was ready for something bigger. Just around ten a.m. we started heading up the other side of the lake. I casted to an area next to a dock in about 12 inches of water. There were sparse reeds around and just a few lillys. Next thing you know BOOM!! It was on, this fish had some shoulders!! I thought i had hooked a 7 pounder for sure, to my dismay just this pretty little 5#8oz largie!! all in all most fish in this lake are descent sized. smoke and gold gary yamamoto 5 1/2 in grub... or 3 1/2 in split tail both smoke and gold... seems to cut it up in spring!!! good luck fellow fish junkies!! tight lines.....
