Went out three time in the last week (6/17 - 6/22) and had a good time. The pier is new and large enough to accomodate fisherman by the masses. Some will complain that the fishing pier is also the swimming pier, but swimmers and anglers operate on opposite sides and the fish were still biting about 50ft out or so even with about two dozen loud and noisy kids swimming. I fished the bottom with yellow powerbait and a 3ft leader. All mid-day fishing.
06/17 - Caught two 12" and one that was big enough to snap my line at the hook...maybe a bad knot, but a big fighter nonetheless. 3 hours fishing.
06/22 - Fished for about 3.5 hours with the same setup. Hooked three. Let one go, one jumped the hook and the third one made a meal.
