6/27/2009 8:11:00 AMOn Friday the boat traffic wasn't bad at all. We saw maybe four boats waterskiing, of course one had to continuously buzz the area we were fishing in! About a half dozen boats were working the shorelines for bass. We were fishing directly under the boat with just a size 6 baitholder, a split shot 8 inches above the hook, maybe a foot off the bottom. We started with worms and switched to perch meat. I think you get a little bigger fish with "meat". The biggest fish were 9 inches, but there were a lot of them! When we first started fishing Sammamish for perch six or seven years ago, 12 and 13 inchers were common. The area at the N end where the pilings extend from the E shore has been the most consistant place for us,(long run from the launch) not that we are any great experts! The outer pilings are marked by orange cones. Go slow and you shouldn't have any problems. We've also caught fish at the S end outside the swimming beach.

7/6/2009 12:24:00 PMAs for Crappie..... there are a few locations in the lake that hold the crappie, however, they aren't as abundant as the other panfish. if you fish tight against the pilings and submerged logs, eventually, you might be able to find these tasty fish.
