Upon returning from my Idaho pike trip, had to make a stop in Graham.
With plenty of fishing gear on hand, decided to drop the boat in at Kapowsin.
My nephew got a solid bite on his first cast(worm and bobber) but mist,a few casts later
and he had caught his first bass ever(about 1/2 pound) My wife and son began catching
a few as well. Then my niece caught her very first bass...VERY COOL!!!
There were a few bluegills in the mix, along with what I can only assume to be
warmouth, all I can say for sure is they weren't rock bass....anyhow.
I began tossing a scumfrog around some heavy pads,a few minutes later and the water
explodes. I was surprised...the bass might have been around 2 pounds but one hell
of a strike and fight....just awesome.
A big thanks to Bigbass Dez for getting me hooked on frogs and the tips he provided
in using them,I'm now 100% addicted.
I'll be making plenty more trips up here.
Water clarity is a little better then normal and not like fishing in liquid mud.
Keep an eye out for stumps.
