Got to the lake around 1..started off by trolling as a;ways. Overcast day and very windy. Made one pass around the lake no bites. About half way around the 2nd time (just pass the little cove with all the lillypads on the right side of the lake where the creek flows out of the lake) my friend got a fish on and I turned to look and saw a huge rainbow trout shoot out of the water. Got it up to the boat after watching her reel it in with a little coaching and it was an 18" rainbow trout. looked like it was about 3 or 4 lbs. We were using a red wedding ring, 1 large split shot, with a half a piece of nightcrawler. It's never let me down. Seems to work the best for trolling. So far no alge bloom there this year. Lot's of people swimming and camping.
