Hit the water about noon on the money. kicked out to the far right in my float tube, at the elbow of the lake at 12:10 had a nice 18" rainbow about an even pound, landed no problem, 12:40 another just as big lost it at the tube. biggest trout of the season for me and my new light action 5'6" daiwa shock rod and 4 lbs test. Used a threaded worm (huge Canadian) crawlers, threaded it past the hook up the line about 6" left about 2" hangin off the hood on the 20" leader w/swivel and 1/4 oz torpedo sinker.
Was just casting out about 25-30 feet, letting it drop a little ways then would kick at an average speed. Wasnt wearing waders so when I felt the temp drop on my legs i slowed down a little and went deeper, thats when i had most bites.
They were biting pretty consistantly but my time was short cuz I made it a 4 lake day and had to scoot across the street.
Note: gooey worms were pissing me off the last cpl weeks so i took an empty worm container last night, sat a sandwich size ziplock inside with about 10-12 oz water in it then froze it, Put the worms back into it this morning and had lively healthy worms all day, about 6&1/2 hrs in dead heat! and the threader allowed me to get multiple hits per worm, when they bit the tip off i just slid it down and put another on. 4 lakes today and used maybe 6 worms!
LOL talk about penny pinchin....I sound like the Father inlaw.

Great report! Being a father-in-law myself, I can relate.
