Got out on the lake at 5:30am - Started at the north end of the lake and worked my way down the east bank. Got a couple of good bites early with the buzz bait but i coulnd't get them hooked (wait, wait, wait and then set the hood, dang! why can't I get that in my head)

Most of the day was very slow, sun broke though the fog around 10am. Switched to a combo of blue/purp worm, spinner & thundercraw crank, working the fallen trees along the shore. This place ate my gear up like crazy. I was getting very frustrated so i took a little break in the shade and decied to cross over to the west side of the lake and work my way back to the launch.

At 1:30pm tossed a T-rigged pumpkin w/grn flake 5" senko into a small patch of pads. Line started moving, set the hook, Fish On! This baby took me for a ride, took what felt lke 5minutes to bring it to the boat. Landed and safely released- 20" long 6.5in from top to bottom of the belly. Nice fat belly too. Spinner reel with 6'6" medium rod - 8lb line. - Temp in the high 70's- low 80's water temp was cool to the touch.

I got 1 pic on my camera phone - hope i can find a way to get it posted. This was my personal best beating out a 16" at lake Sixteen.
