Bassed Roesiger this morning for the first time in years...and was not disappointed. From 7AM to about 9AM I got a constant bite from aggressive largemouth bass. I easily caught and released over 15 bass in those 2 hours. The largest was about 3 pounds, a few more in the 2 pound range, and the rest were small. I caught the larger bass near docks/wood, but also caught many smaller bass in the lillypads...also, most on my bass were caught in the smaller middle lake. Fun times, can't wait to go back.

How did you have so much luck I tried for bass for my 3 time and still nothing. Where did you catch fish exactly and what did you use?

constant bite from aggressive largemouth.... How the hell? We were at the lake and managed three small fish in about 6 hours. Nothing aggressive anywhere. What were you using?

The weather that day was weird (warm/cloudy/calm after a warm rain and before the heat), and I had a gut feeling the fishing would be good that day. I used rubber worms in a variety of colors, usually with black of some type (I never tell exactly which brand/kept secret since a friend screwed me over years ago and my secret weapon was stocked in a local tackle shop after he caught his first large bass and told everyone about it...sorry). I rig my worms weigh less, with a single small exposed hook. I loose tackle and get snagged a lot, but get more hook-ups that way. I fish the edges of everything (logs/docks/pads/reeds/dollar pads/etc/etc and let this worm settle as slowly as possible. If they don't hit plastics, I go to the real thing...huge single head-hooked nightcrawlers, always trying to make my presentation as natural as possible. I also use light line...4 or 6 pound Vanish florocarbon which I think is necessary in lakes with clearer water. Everything I do I learned in an old book titled: Lunkers Love Nightcrawlers, my personal bassing Bible. I've fished Roesiger more than 20 times in my life, and this was the best numbers day I've ever had there...but I have caught some 5-6LB bass there in the past. I got into a couple different schools of fish that day...just a lucky, right place/right time morning. Hope there is something helpful here for you.
