If you are planning a trip here on Lake Chelan don't let the fire discourage you..They have it under control and the Laketrout don't seem to mind a little smoke in the valley..It has been a "Red Hot " bite in the mornings with averaging still over 10 Lakers per 4 hour boat..
Bait of Choice has been herring and Northern Pikeminnow strips..Troll your herring slow to be most productive on the bottom (RDOTB) right down on the bottom..
Don't be afraid of Change..You know some Guides and Fishers get stuck in a routine either on location or presentation..The fish are constantly changing physically and mentally just like you and I..Got to change it up to be productive..Colors, Types of Bait, Scents,Speed all these go into play everyday for me when things get tough. These Laketrout are starting to stage for the spawn and boy it can get real tough to get these big boys and girls to bite somedays..
Mike and Aaron are working on getting the Picture section fixed for me, so in the mean time check out my Photos section on my Website to see my most recent Adventures..Thanks to all that fished with me over this last week.. Tight lines to all and good luck!!!
