Took two of my boys fishing this morning on Hayden. Hit the lake about 5:15 AM and fished till about 12:30. Started out at one of our favorite spots with top water and no luck. Decided we would look for some new areas, started looking and fishing and ended up catching a few smb on jigheads with grubs. Decided to troll around a bit while searching for new ground. Ended up getting 2 pike and a decent lmb on the troll. Finally located the fish off a rocky point, so anchored off and went to work. The boys did awesome today and I was able to land quite a few as well. All in all boated and released about 40 smb. The little man even managed to catch some all on his own without dads help. I think he got the biggest one of the day, about a 2.5 pounder. Great day, would not have missed it for nothing.
