First trip to Horseshoe - what a beautiful little lake. Caught a few dink LM starting just south of the launch and working my way around. Got around to the rock wall strait across from the launch and though I might find a Crappie or 2 there. What I found was a gazillion bream of all sizes tearing up my little Gulp minnow and chartruse jigs. Landed a fish most every cast. Will be a great place to take my 6 yr. old little girl. Had to catch about 10 fish to get one big enough for the peanut oil, but wound up bringing 8 home. About 6:30PM or so lots of surface activity started, particularly in the middle of the lake. Trolled a wedding ring through several passes with no hits, and didn't have my fly gear. I've got to figure out what those were and how to get them. There was some pretty intense feeding going on for a couple of hours. Also gonna take the wife and explore the water falls. Never entered that area of the lake, but looked really awesome from the main body. Must go again and figure this lake out. Looks like it could be a really good fishery once you get it down.

There are a lot of Kokanee in that lake and a few Macks. That is what usually hits the surface over the depths of that lake.
