Fun fun fun. I got to fish with Dave Watkins (Sammamish guide) and Big Bass Dez as we explored (for them) a new lake. The day started cool and overcast and we focused on topwater, but could only manage one fish (Dez's catch). Not much size... we worked several different spots as the day progressed and Dave and Dez began to disect the lake. It was interesting to watch Dave as he began forming a picture of the lake and where to fish. I can't say it was fast fishing, but we did all end up catching fish, the largest being Dave's 4.1 SMB caught in 22 ft of water on a drop shot, which was by far the best lure today. I managed a 2 lb or so SMB dropshotting in an area which will be from now on referred to as "Mike's Point" according to Dave and Dez. :-) Another high point - fishing a silver dollar pad area and having a hard strike on Dabe's frog (unfortunately not worked). The afternoon turned sunny and very pleasant on the water. Man, I am one sunburned angler!

Thanks to Dave for his generosity of sharing a day on the lake with me and Dez. I'm excited to try fishing Stevens again some time as I now have several spots to try.
