By luck, I had another chance to go fishing this evening. My brother-in-law and I wanted to fish Pine, but due to the city sponsered concert that was going on there, decided to hit Beaver instead. Launched just after 5pm and the clouds were coming in and the wind picking up. Hooked up with a little LM right away on a pumpkinseed senko and then things really slowed down. Tired various jigs and plugs until my BIL started getting regular hits on a rainbow rapala. Then I hooked one on a bass colored popper. Nothing very big, but not dinks either.
The breeze was a pain, so moved to the other side of the lake and started getting hits on the senko again, but my BILs rapala was getting nothing, so set him up with a senko and we got some steady action until about 8pm (all dinks to pounders +), then it slowed down again. Lost a couple of rigs on the north end of the lake, so packed it in and got out of there at 9pm just as it was getting too dark.
Water temp was 72, so things are cooling off. Good night on the water, but nothing spectacular.
