Hello,

Never had a problem catching fish here, just troll as slow as possible with a dawnie rig, with a wedding ring topped with either some bluegill or corn or worms. Slower the better in the deeper water.

Wait for the hit, then slow down or stop reel irratically and the tigers will re hit, tigers are notorious for being aggressive, use it to your advantage. The gills are a dime a dozen, free bait is good.

I've seen some largemouth around the launch, I think people are stocking them, themselves, i've tried to go after them a few times to no avail.

Might be the reason some of the trout are harder to catch, they may be nymphing the deeper water hard for the odonates, slow trolling a large dragonfly nymph may work well with a sinking line as well.

Tight lines and heavy nets,

E

I know that lake is seriously over ran with perch but can you use game fish for bait?

Page 30 in the 2009-10 rule book states:

It is unlawful to chum or broadcast any substance to attract game fish.

It is unlawful to possess or use live aquatic animals as bait except:
1. Live aquatic animals (other than fish) collected from the water being fished.
2. Live sand shrimp.
3. Live forage fish in the columbia river downstream of the Rocky Point/Tongue Point line.

Fish lake is statwin min. size/daily limit. No special restriction lake.

The use of bluegill as cut bait is not prohibited, considering the state wide min is NO LIMIT on them. As long as you do not broadcast any part of the fish and do not use a live specimen you are fine. And i'll argue the heck out of that.

I haven't caught any perch on fish lake, but the bluegills and pumpkin seeds, a rampant in there, but it's good for the tiger's they love the little guys you can see them swirl on them at the surface about an hour before dark.

Tight lines and heavy nets,

E
