Don't know if this is a good report or not.

I'm going to go with not, just because I know badger for big cuts, and we went to the south end the other day and caught a mess of bullhead and bluegill.....

Not exactly what we were expecting but do with what you got I guess.

We started working the south end with jigs and cranks, picked up a few bass and decided to slow troll a worm combo jig on the bottom, picked up a 7.5" gill so we sat on them with an anchor.

Ended up with about 30 gills all 7", and 4 bullheads. At the end of the night we spotted about 300 or so bullheads below the boat.

Double edge sword I suppose, the heads are cleaners but still can't deny that they compete with the trout, overall it was a good change up from the trout, trout, trout area we live in.

Tight lines and heavy nets,

E

Unfortunately Bullheads are extremely hard to kill out of a lake, requiring about twice the concentration of the material used. Because of this, they will always be there. Also, Bucket Biologist have planted both the Bass and Gills back in, so it is what it is. No doubt they will kill out Badger again in the future, but for now, a 7" Gill is pretty impressive, so enjoy what is available.
