First time at Sawyer lake for me and it was a pleasant fishing experience. I was after the Crappie and found a few of them as they were spread out and graphed what I believe to have been pockets of small schools here and there abouts. I caught several but none were of legal size, saw two other boats that said they had some but I never saw them catch what I would have considered any legal sized Crappie. I loaded up on the perch and the biggest was pushing 12" they all were fat and healthy. This lake looks like a nice clean and fishable lake to me, despite my lack of legal size take I will be back. Only one bummer I experienced was some jerk off siphoned a half tank of gas from my rig leaving me on fumes to find the nearest gas station. I was the nearst rig parked to the surveylance camera but that didn't seem to deter them. Off to Spokane and North Idaho for some fishing fun and hope to have some good reports coming.
