Sometimes you just have to thin the ranks a little. It makes it easier for the rest to find food and grow up big and strong for Tag to catch hehe

I agree w Aaron you have to thin them out so that others can get bigger. I dont keep many fish from lakes but it makes sense to me. It's not like bass are on the endangered species list and can't be replaced.

How did they taste coming out of water that stained?? Just curious....

Honestly, they were pretty good, a hint muddy tasting...but we fried the little fillets in batter and added lots of tartar sauce (that will mask anything), and washed it down with some suds. I do not particularly like the taste of bass, and didn't eat too much...a bit more gamey than my beloved perch. I haven't eaten enough blue gill or crappie to appreciate their tastes, but perch is my favorite of the spiney rays to eat by far. My folks ( an many fishing friends) live near Fish Lake in Chelan County and we catch and eat them by the hundreds thru the year. I just ate bass because a friend wanted to...hell, I'd rather eat trout, halibut, salmon or even Skippers for that matter. Take care, and good fishing to you!

Buzzbait............I made by buddy put all the fish on the string and to the filleting, so technically I am not a bass murderer. Catch and not release is very rare for me when fishing bass. I put them all back carefully...usually :-) Take care and good fishing to all!

Sorry I was out of town and missed your new crap posting. By the looks of your spelling and punctuation - Cashmere Elementary School must have burned down when you were in 2nd or 3rd grade. Too bad for you. Maybe that is why you never post any of the thousands of fish you SAY you catch. It must suck to look and be stupid in print, but it is even worse to be a liar.
