Got to the public launch at about 6a.m. Water temp 69 degrees-Water condition Very muddy (visibility 6 inches)-Looks like about a foot of water dropped from the last months heat wave-Cloud cover with a slight wind-air temp 65 degrees at the warmest-found most productive lure was a bass colored crankbait-Todays pattern that i found early in the morn and continued untill about 2 in the afternoon was rocks-rocks were the prime ambush spots for my catch for the day as long as you made the first cast bounce off the side of the first rock, pause for just a split second then reel like a mad man for about a foot and then slow down(I use 5 to 1 gear ratio reels) . Todays total fish caught and releashed was 20 fish. Caught fish in the dink stage clear up to 4lbs 4oz and then 4lbs 1oz I also caught a group of 4 bass that weighted together 8lbs 8ozs. with quite a few 1lb fish. Thanks to the SILVER LAKE RESORT for the picture. Dave Newby
