Went out to hit Trout Lake on Saturday. Needed to be back home by 9:00 so that I could take my oldest to get his driving permit so I did a BassDood and buzzed around the lake a bit faster than I would normally. By 5:45 I had caught my first 2. Not an hour later I hooked into my 3rd which was the largest at 1.5. I lost another good one in the "Corner". BassDood knows where I am talking about ... that corner is getting to be the bane of my existence ... LOL. I primarily threw a brush hog. I have an order into WCCT and they are trying to match the color I have been using. I am interested to see how it does as it has been my go to bait for sure. It seems I can put it into more places than the Yamamoto Kreature and it is more cost effective as well. By the end of the little trip I hooked into a total of 5. Two of the others were a pound so made for a fun and productive morning. As I was getting out of the tube at the launch I saw the remains of a 2 - 3 pounder that had been filleted and the head of the fish another 10 feet away. I have no problem with the catching and eating of the fish but leaving such scattered around seems to me a little disrespectful of the public area.
