Mom came up from Oregon for her birthday and wanted to go fishing, so I chose to load up the Wife, daughter and Mom and go to american. Got to American about 5 PM. Went up to the condos end of the lake first, even though I was looking for Smallmouth (I have caught a bunch here before) we kept catching perch and rockbass, we were using dropshot rigs with with 4" brown or watermelon french fry worms, caught quite a few. the wind picked up around 6 so we went over by the VA, nice and calm there. Mom struck first with a 11" 12" perch from there they cuaght more perch in the same size range. All fish were C&R'ed. I know everyone is in the river/Salmon mode but for family fun you can't beat American. I hope the pic's make it to the report, this is my first post and am trying to figure it out.
