So I hit up Sammamish today for the last time. Yes, today marks the last day I can "get out" on the water. I was laid off from my job earlier in the week and have to sell my boat. To make it worse I just bought a new car as well. But none of that mattered today. For the last time in a while I got to forget about my obligations and worries and just fish. I launched my pontoon boat from the docks and started fishing the Lilly pads. I trolled almost all the way to the creek and then decided to fish my way back a few casts at a time. I caught 1 14inch rainbow and another one about 10'. Nothing to really brag about but it doesn't matter to me. even though I only "slayed" 2 fish it was probably the best fishing trip I have ever been on. Another down side to the whole situation is that I waited far too long to do my float trip from Lake Sammamish to Lake Washington, and I have been kicking myself in the ass for it all week. So if anybody out there does it any time soon please let me know how it is. I will eventually buy another boat and do it myself but not for some time. Anyhow, Good luck all you anglers

Thank you everybody for the good words. I found out that hoever I am soon to be without a boat, I am not totally lost. My older brother down in Shelton and a few friends from the Olympic peninsula extended to me a standing invitation to go hit the rivers. Today I woke up and it was raining. The first thing to come to my mind was that I should be out on the lake. I was halfway dressed to head out on Pine lake when my girlfriend reminded me that it was our 2 year anniversary today. So I wound up cooking breakfast and cleaning the house instead. No worries though. I might go try to fish the dock at Pine lake tomorrow
