Got to Hart's and found a mess by the launch ramp- bottles floating around, cans strewn all over and smouldering logs from a small campfire. Cleaned up what I could, put out the logs and started to fish. Water seemed shallow and with the cloudless sky made for tough fishing at noon. I used some cut bait (pink salmon belly) but not even a sniff. I was thinking about wading over to another part of the lake but a few snakes in the grass made me change my mind (Don't ask me what kind- I'm from Hawaii...). Store was closed and so was the pay dock. Stayed for about 2.5 hours and decided pull up and fish for pinks in the Puyallup. I think I'll bring the kayak the next time and find a deeper part of the lake or maybe fish near some inflowing water. I still want to catch some catfish!
