Slight breeze, water tems @ 70 degrees, murky water conditions with visibility about 2-3 feet.
Heard a report that the state was out killing weeds again, the sign was posted but most of it was ripped down. I couldn't figure out how to get my plastics down in the weeds without bringing back a heafty bag full on water foliage with each retrieve. the weed guard on my jig was not helping. So i started throwing a spinner bait in Chart/white with a tranlucent peach colored grub as a trailer. (i know wierd combo, don't ask how i came up with that) I would cast to the shallow sides of the pads and retrieve throught the openings in the pads. Caught and released 6 fish total with 5 of them being 12-14" in length just under a pound each. Wasn't a great limit but... it was my first limit. Fished for about 2 to 2 1/5 hrs and covered about half of the lake.

Sorry, once again, no pics... I get tired of having photos of a bunch of 12"ers. I will post photos if i ever catch a hawg.

Thanks for the report. Any report without the word pinks or Humpies is good right now.
