Had gone to Cassidy on Saturday to get skunked, so decided to hit up Cresent today since I hadn't stopped by in quiet some time. Wasn't going to do any serious fishing, just messing around and having some fun. Me and the dog caught a bunch of little Pumpkinseed and Green Sunfish, even some tiny large mouth fishing around the weeds from the shore. Even a few good sized pumkinseeds.
Started off with a black mini jig under a float, casting it and working it back in slowly, got some good sized pumpkinseed like this, then switched to flipping some small plastics (mostly green, threw an orange one too) with no weight and caught most of them this way.
Found a worm, and rigged it up with a splitshot to try to get a catfish, but only caught a tiny perch which then got turned into bait for more panfish and bass.
All in all fished for about 3-4 hours and caught well over 50 fish (not many to take for the frying pan, but thats not really what I went for anyway)

If you're looking for a great place to take a kid or two with short attention spans this would be a good place. Not really a very clean area, and the banks pretty muddy, but you can catch a ton of fish all day long. Lots of frogs and other critters to chase and explore too.

Is this the Crescent Lake near the prison Farm, NW of Duvall? I never would have thought to fish there. I only hunt Pheasants there with my oldest son. If it is please reply so I can take my younger kids for a fun day catching spinyrays.

Yeah it is, between the farm and highbridge rd.
How's the pheasant hunting out of here? I wanted to try it this year, but havn't talked to anyone that hunts the area.

I typically hunt the north fields. cut corn with a few rows left for cover, not hard just walk the rows and kick'em up. A dog would definitely help though. I prefer Cherry Valley, but a dog is really needed as they sit tight and let you walk by. Thanks, I will be taking my 6y/o here for some fun times.

Very welcome, hope you guys have fun! And I have a pretty good dog, he just hasn't been out for the last year or two, so maybe Cresent would be a good place to get him back on the birds? Thanks for the tips!
