Went out today by myself at around 1 pm and stayed till 3 pm. I was using a bobber with about 3 foot of line under it. I used berkley crappie pink powerbait. This setup seems to work good in the offseason of crappie. I caught 4. 3 were around 10 inches but the 4th was a little over a pound, all black crappie. There are 2 areas where there are nice crappie beds. I cant wait till the water gets colder.

How do you get there. I found a small pond at the grid coords for this lake but it did not look very fishable.

It is a small pond. There is only one section of about 10 feet to shore fish from. I have fished it about 10 times. I caught 1 bass and the rest crappie. Most crappie are under a foot long. I have caught a few that were over a pound. They were all black crappie. I dont have a GPS. I went on Google Satellite and followed the roads. There are a few ways to get to this pond. The way I take to get there is a gravel road off Yelm Highway. It takes 4 miles to get there. It is too difficult to describe. You will know you are at the right pond by three indicators. The 10 foot shore fishing section is one of them. Another is that there is a tree growing out of the middle of the pond. It only sticks out of the water about 3 feet. It is the strangest thing. The last is there is a fallen tree off to right of the fishing section. It is a large tree. It lays out almost to the middle of the pond. Good luck.
