I have been going to this lake for the past three Friday's and haven't had a strike, nibble, anything while trying to fish for bass (which I hear are in there). Decided to try again after getting skunked salmon fishing in the morning. Arrived around 14:00.

At around 15:00 to 15:30 after no luck with Texas and Wacky rigged worms from the swimming area, I chucked a black/blue spinner out to the left and on the second cast caught, what I think was a smallmouth (could have been a largemouth; I'd never seen one in person until that moment). About 10" - measured with the span of my hand - a pound maybe. Put it back and left about 30 minutes later.

If there are bass in there, they aren't near shore. I will try a boat or try for trout.
