Fishing in the lower Basin of Lake Chelan remains Productive for Laketrout. I have found that the Laketrout are now moving very quickly into the spawning mode..3 females caught on my last outing had fully mature eggs in them..I am finding my fish now on Mack Bar and out from Fields Point landing..Also I have been exploring Lake Chelan for new spots that these Laketrout are concentrating finding a lot of Laketrout out from 25mile cr. Launch...Bait of Choice is the Ace Hi-fly by Silverhorde for both Laketrout and Chinook..Finding my bigger laketrout now wanting this bait more than the basic Flatfish. I even managed to bang a 9lb. 4 oz. Burbot this last week on this set up..
Present your baits very slow..seems to be more productive which makes perfect sense now that these fish are slowing down there feeding pattern and focusing mainly on spawning..Let them get a good look at the presentation so they can hone in, follow it, then strike it. FISH ON!!!
