Yesterday was a disaster in area 10, so I thought I'd hit up the lake for some action. Ran up North of the 520 bridge to troll between Evergreen and Hunt's point. The fish seemed to have moved into shallower water as I had success trolling in 45' to 60' and keeping my gear between 5' and 10' from the bottom. I put two in the boat and lost two others before running over to see how Mav186 and the Quadfather were doing. We ran up to Wolf Bay and I found that the fish were really liking the 40' to 50' depths. Picked up a few good sized perch, put another cutt in the boat and lost a couple when they jumped to shake the hook. I did manage to hook into a solid snag in Wolf Bay so beware when it shows up on the sounder, it ate my favorite flasher. The winds were calm all day and one couldn't ask for better conditions, water surface temps were around 62 to 63 degrees. I managed to catch fish on three different hoochie colors, with white getting the most attention. The fish were all between 14" and 18", what I'd consider a bit below average in size, but will smoke up very nice.

Sorry to hear about your flasher out there. We were wondering what you were doing... we saw you going in reverse at one point, and could tell something was up. Just when I had purchased all the usuals, now it seems that mini hootchies are the choice!

nice fish but those are rainbows.cutthroat have really dark red spots on there throats

goin_postal - tust me on this, they are cutts. Take a close look at the jaw, they all extend past the eye . Body coloring is also wrong for a bow and yes, they had just a hint of an orange slash hidden under the jaw.

there is a min size for trout 12in kokanee are considered trout under wa regs read page 23 in the regs and a max size 15in over 15in they are considered sokeye!!! sokeye are only legal to keep during a wdfw approved seasons........in lake washington so please stop keeping these fish that are under 12 or over 15....... I know it is a bit confusing in the regs BUT it is what it is It is a slot limit for all intensive purposes.......

From July 1st through November 30th trout in Lake Washington fall under the State's general rules which are no minimum size. You can keep any sized cutt at this time.
