Got out on the lake about noon, and trolled super-dupers, rooster tails, kastmasters, rapalas, etc. with no luck. The weather was slightly drizzly, little rain, but overall a nice day. We started to get hits casting VERY close to the rock cliffs, especially around the reddish colored shrubbery. Out of 10 hits each for me and my friend, we landed a total of 5 keeper browns. Released all of them. Seems the fish weren't very aggressive, since we usually have no problem hooking up here. However, on 2 that I caught, and 1 of my friend's, they followed the lure all the way up to the boat, providing some excitement. I tried my fly rod a couple of times (brown beadhead woolybugger), casting at the rocks, and had a couple of strikes, and one on that broke my line just before the tippet-leader knot. Overall a good day, but not as productive as the cold, snowy winter outings. Can't wait to get back out there!!
